No restrictions on acces; this collection is open for research. [Box 34, Herbarium] Caution: DO NOT TOUCH the specimens. The use of toxic chemicals to preserve biological specimens was common practice in the 19th century; botanical collection manuals recommended applying arsenical or mercuric compounds on specimens to prevent insect damage. Use PPE (only vinyl or latex gloves) if handling specimens is necessary.
