Biographical Note

Mildred I. McCormick (1911-1993) was president of the Business Professional Women's Club, Wilmington, Delaware, in 1973-1974, and an executive secretary at Hewlett-Packard Corporation.

Mildred I. Willey was born October 13, 1911, to Ira Willey (1879-1950) and Fannie L. (Short) Willey (1884-1975). In 1932, she married James H. McCormick (1910-1979), and the couple had two children. James McCormick worked as a chemical operator at the DuPont Company Experimental Station. At some point in the 1950s, the couple divorced.

McCormick was an executive secretary for about eighteen years at Hewlett-Packard Corporation in Wilmington, retiring in 1976. She was a member and former president of the Business Professional Women's Club, Wilmington, and a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church. She died October 24, 1993, in Wilmington, Delaware.
