Biographical Note
Jane Farson (1704-1792) ran an unidentified shop in Wilmington, Delaware. She was born Jane Elwell, and according to Benjamin Ferris' "My Kith & Kin," she arrived in Philadelphia from England in 1725 with the Tatualls and Shipleys. In 1744, she married Robert Beeby (dates unknown), and in 1749, she married William Farson (1690-1762). Farson died December 7, 1792, at the age of 88 years, two months, and twenty-two days.
