Biographical Note
David L. Jose was a Member of the Technical Staff (MTS) at the David Sarnoff Research Center (DSRC). He was involved in the VideoDisc project, first in testing, then as the person responsible for the VideoDisc Demonstration Center. The center served as a site of learning for DSRC staff, and as a product showroom, upon approval, to members of the public. In 1979, Jose earned an RCA Achievement Award for his contributions to the VideoDisc project.
After the VideoDisc project was ended in 1984, Jose began conducting research on technologies that would improve brightness and formatting in screen displays to optimize viewer experience. By 1993, he had earned four patents for his research in this area.
