Historical Note
J. Marsh Music, Fancy and Variety store was located on 117 Market Street in Wilmington, Delaware during the 1850s. The proprietor John Marsh also had a branch on 386 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia which was active from 1856 to 1867. Marsh composed, arranged and published music. The stores sold, repaired and tuned instruments, as well as selling sheet music.

The cover of the sheet music is a black and white lithograph of the J. Marsh Wilmington, Delaware storefront, with people on the side walk, also showing musical instruments in the windows.
The piano instrumental music was composed and arranged by John B. Stiegler and is "Respectfully dedicated to the proprietor of the music, fancy and variety store J. Marsh, 117 Market St., Wilmington." The score was publisher: Wilmington, DE : J. Marsh.
