Historical Note
The Jones Brokerage Company was a food brokerage business founded by Otis V. Jones Jr. (1915-2003) in 1946, as Associated Foods in Raleigh, North Carolina. Prior to opening his own business, Jones had been with Standard Brands for ten years. In 1954, the company became Jones Brokerage Company. Jones sold packaging to customers throughout eastern North Carolina. The company continued throughout the 1990s.
Scope and Content
This small collection contains samples of packaging for bread, coffee, desserts, produce, meats, sausages, and salt. There is a disbound issue of Progressive Grocer from September 1962 and eight photographs of product displays.
