Historical Note
The Centennial Exhibition of 1876 celebrated the one hundredth anniversary of American Independence. Held in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, it was the first major U.S. world's fair. The fairgrounds were made up of several main buildings, as well as some 250 pavilions and auxiliary structures, including twenty-four state buildings, which were each designed in a regional style.

This item is an empty scrapbook with a decorative cover celebrating the Centennial Exhibition. The front cover says "Centennial Scrap Book" and consists of two color renderings of Memorial Hall and Horticultural Hall. The back cover contains views of Machinery Hall, the Main Exhibition Building, and Agricultural Hall.
