Historical Note
Northern Delaware (current day New Castle County) was settled by Swedes in the seventeenth century. New Castle County is primarily made up of unicorporated hundreds and has a limited number of incorpated areas. Hundreds are similiar to townships but do not have the same status.
Arrangement
The images contain numerical notations in the bottom right-hand corners, numbering the photographs "1" through "10." This order has been maintained.
Scope and Content
This collections contains ten aerial photographs of the Northeastern Delaware border. There is one image that contains Delawares most norther boarder with Pennsylvania along the coast south to Edgemoor and then inland to Northwestern Wilmington. The nine other images are detailed images of this area.
