The Columbus Inn is a restaurant located at 2216 Pennsylvania Avenue, Wilmington, Delaware. The Columbus Inn began as a bakery in the late 1790s and was converted to a tavern as early as 1812. In 2006, the restaurant faced closure; the city was proposing rezoning the land and selling the site to a developer to construct luxury condominiums.

When the restaurant closed in 2007, these photographs were taken by the architectural engineering firm 1 1 6 Technologies Incorporated as part of a review of the proposed construction on the site. "As a stipulation of the Design Review and Preservation Commission's approval of the project, the developers were required to provide local historical repositories" with copies of the photographs.

The project never came to fruition. In 2009, the Davis Sezna (dates private), whose family had owned the restaurant since 1953, sold the Columbus Inn to Wilmington resident Louis Capano III (dates private). Capano maintained the name and the tradition of the restaurant. After some renovation, the Columbus Inn reopened in 2010.
