Biographical Note
Arnold M. Kneitel (1923-2012) worked for E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co., Inc. in sales and corporate information. He worked on sales of mylar when it was introduced in 1954. The use of mylar as a base for magnetic recording tape lead to his working with information processing companies in the sixties and seventies.

The collection consists primarily of 35mm slides of displays, advertisements, and presentations on mylar, including its use in electronic equipment and, primarily in magnetic tape for information processing equipment. There is a picture of the very first trade display on mylar, in March 1954.
