The William H. Jackson Company was established in 1827 as W. N. Jackson & CO. which specialized in making iron grates. The company's expertise in iron, brass and stone work eventually shifted the emphasis of the company towards the manufacturing of fireplace mantels, vases, fountains, benches, columns, and ornamental accessories. The business had two locations in the early twentieth century, 2 West 47 Street, New York, New York and 318 N. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois.

These are four photographs used as trade catalog illustrations: No. 77 bronze garden figure of a boy with frogs, No. 21 Italian stone wall fountain, No. 541 Osera [lime]stone bench with griffiths and (unnumbered) a 4 foot long stone planter.
