Biographical Note
William E. Mullestein (1911-2005) was a graduate of Cornell with a degree in Civil Engineering. He joined the Lukens Steel Company in 1944 and served as president from 1969 to 1974 and chairman from 1974 to 1978.
Scope and Content
These seven photographs relate to his career at Lukens Steel. They include group portraits with other company executives (most unidentified), a 1957 groundbreaking, and a portrait with Joe Foy, president of Local 1165, upon the signing of a union contract on December 5, 1959.
