Biographical Note
J.A. (Joshua Appleby) Williams (1817-1892) was a photographer working in Newport, Rhode Island from 1847 to 1885. His studio was called "Joshua A. Williams' Photograph Rooms" and was located on South Touro Street near Bath Road. A majority of his work was producing stereoviews, although it seems he produced daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, and albumen silver prints as well.
Scope and Content
This print is unidentified, but there is a label on the outer tube container for photographer J. A. Williams of Newport, Rhode Island. The view may cover almost a complete 360 degree circuit.
