Biographical Note
Harry E. Lee (b. 1882) and his family moved to Wilmington when he was six . He began working for DuPont in the explosives department along the Upper Banks beginning in 1906 and stayed there for forty years.
Scope and Content
Interviewers: Norman B. Wilkinson and Joseph Monigle in Wilmington, Delaware
Lee discusses his career at DuPont, including transportation, his impressions of various members of the du Pont family, the company during wartime, and an explosion at Hagley in 1914. He also briefly touches on daily life in Wilmington at this time.
