Arnold M. Kneitel (1923-2012) worked for E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co., Inc. in sales and corporate information. He worked on sales of mylar when it was introduced in 1954. The collection consists primarily of 35mm slides of displays, advertisements, and presentations on mylar, including its use in electronic equipment and, primarily in magnetic tape for information processing equipment.

DuPont Performance Elastomers, LLC manufactures and supplies general purpose and specialty elastomer products. Neoprene is the generic name of an artificial rubber developed by the DuPont Company in 1930 to 1931. The records consist of a mix of historical and contemporary documents assembled to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of neoprene in 1981, enlarged to cover the seventieth anniversary in 2001, and kept up with subsequent additions.

E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company, Polymer Products Department researched, developed, and manufactured products made out of elastomers, plastics, and resins. The collection includes records from the Marketing Services Division, Experimental Station, Plastics Department's Polymer Products Division, Fabrics and Finishes Department, and Specialty Polymers Division. The records reflect the diverse functions for which the department and its predecessor components were responsible and contain material representing several periods in the department's history.
