Historical Note

Founded in 1683 and incorporated as a town in 1883, Laurel, Delaware is located in Sussex County and was considered one of the wealthiest towns in the state during the nineteenth century.

Scope and Content

Photographs depict City Hall in Dover, Delaware, group portrait of unidentified women in front of house, unidentified woman walking dogs in suburban neighborhood, and four photography studio portraits of unidentified men and a boy.
